# Privacy Policy

We built Talib on a simple principle: your data belongs to you. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can control it.

## Information We Collect

### Information you provide directly

When you create an account or upload a resume, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your resume PDF. This data is used solely to generate and host your portfolio — nothing more.

### Automatically collected data

We collect standard server logs, including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This is used to maintain uptime and diagnose issues. We do not build advertising profiles from this data.

### Payment information

Payments are processed by a third-party provider (Stripe / Polar.sh). We never store your card number, CVV, or billing address on our servers. We only receive a transaction confirmation and an anonymised billing country.

## How We Use Your Information

### Portfolio generation

Your resume content is parsed by our AI model to generate your public portfolio page. We may temporarily cache parsed data to speed up subsequent updates.

### Service communications

We use your email for transactional messages only: account confirmation, payment receipts, and important service updates. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit opt-in.

### Service improvement

Aggregated, anonymised usage metrics may be used to improve our AI parser and templates. Individual resume content is never used to train external AI models.

## Security & Integrity

### Encryption at rest and in transit

All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted via TLS 1.3. Stored resume files and parsed data are encrypted at rest using AES-256.

### Breach notification

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users within 72 hours of discovery, in compliance with applicable laws.

## Data Retention

### Active portfolios

Your data is retained for the duration of your 2-year hosting period. If your plan expires and is not renewed, your data is scheduled for deletion within 30 days.

### Account deletion

You may request account deletion at any time by emailing **info@talib.me**. Your resume content and generated portfolio data will be permanently deleted within 14 business days.
